At Valley Day Camp "Camp Skills" are an important part of our program. Each camp skill is leveled to be age appropriate. For example, in Knife Skills the younger units cut fruit with butter knives and eat it for snack. The older units learn to whittle sticks and make their own tinder. Some of our other camp skills are Knots, First Aid, Fires, and Orienteering (using compasses, GPS, trail signs etc). The girls above were so proud of their superb knife skills.
Valley Day Camp is a Girl Scout Day Camp run completely by volunteers. We are located at a beautiful private lake owned by the Loutsis family. Our camp runs for one week each summer. We serve girls who are entering First Grade all the way through High School.
Pagemaster is my camp name, my real name is Lacey. I am the Camp Director of Valley Day Camp and I love every minute of it!
I'm passionate about Girl Scouts and truly believe that we are building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
My husband (Mr. Pagemaster) and I have two beautiful daughters and seven fabulous grandkids. We love living in the valley and being part of such an amazing community!
