Camp Patches

On Friday your daughter should have come home with her camp patches in a baggie.

One patch (Walk on the Wildside) represents your daughter's participation at Valley Day Camp this year. The green semi circle and the bars under it represent the progression of outdoor skills we do at camp (outdoor cooking, first aid, hiking, knots, knives, etc). Each bar is specific to each grade level (Observer = first grade, Discoverer = second grade, and so on).

All patches should be sewn on the BACK of your daughter's vest, sash, or patch jacket. The first year a camper attends camp they receive the "rainbow of skills patch" and one bar. Each year your camper attends she earns a new bar to go below her previous bars.
