Packing List

The Girl Scout Motto is “Be Prepared”.  In order to have the best camp experience possible please be sure your camper is prepared every day.
  • 2 filled water bottles for drinking, it is great to freeze one!
  • A gallon jug of "hose water" for water play (see note below)
  • A very, very large lunch, campers eat a lot more at camp than at school
  • Dress for the weather but wear your camp shirt EVERY DAY! Without a camp shirt we have to send you home.
  • Wear closed toe, closed heal shoes that are good for running and jumping
  • Sunscreen, apply before camp and send extra, camp staff can not apply it but will remind kids to do it.
  • Bug repellent, camp is not usually “buggy” but I did see a mosquito there yesterday
  • A hat for sun
  • A bandana ,or something similar, that can be dipped in water and then worn to keep cool
  • An extra pair of socks is nice to have in case yours get wet
  • A backpack or bag to tote all your stuff in
We are a little worried about the heat for next week.  We do not have access to running water and want to keep the kids cool by having a water play area.  In order to do this we need everyone to bring a gallon (or more) of water to camp each day.  Please send your camper with a gallon jug of plain tap water each day (just the disposable kind of container from the grocery store please).  We will send a container back home each afternoon to be refilled and brought back the next day.  Thank you for helping us keep cool at camp!!!
