The Girl Scout Motto is “Be Prepared”. In order to have the best camp experience possible please be sure your camper is prepared every day.
- 2 filled water bottles for drinking, it is great to freeze one, or half freeze both.
- A very, very large lunch, campers eat a lot more at camp than at school!
- Dress for the weather but wear your camp shirt EVERY DAY! Without a camp shirt we have to send you home to change.
- Wear closed toe, closed heal shoes that are good for running and jumping. In the morning the grass may be wet. If you wear boots be sure to bring a change of shoes for later in the day.
- Sunscreen, apply before camp and send extra, camp staff can not apply it but will remind kids to do it.
- Bug repellent, camp is not usually “buggy” but it’s nice to have if you need it.
- A hat for sun and sunglasses are very nice to have so pack them if you would like them.
- A bandana, or something similar, that can be dipped in water and then worn to keep cool.
- An extra pair of socks is nice to have in case yours get wet.
- A backpack to store all of your stuff in. Campers won't carry these around all day, they just need it to hold all their stuff.
- A gallon jug of hose water (you'll refill and bring back each day) please read the post below for details.
- Campers in units D, E, F, G, H, I and LIAs need a 2 liter bottle from a carbonated beverage, please read the post below for details.
- Absolutely no electronics of any kind are permitted for campers, LIAs, PAITs, or PAs.
