It is my very sad duty to report that due to Covid-19 Girl
Scouts of Western Washington has decided to cancel all summer camp programs,
including Valley Day Camp. We are all
taken by surprise at this announcement and are extremely unhappy to lose our
amazing week with you. We’ve had 17
fabulous years of camp and are looking forward to many more to come, just not
this year. We remain committed to
providing high quality programming to girls in our valley and providing a place
for everyone to Discover, Enjoy, and Belong.
We realize that everyone is struggling with different things
right now. We are incredibly sad about
losing our camp week and we know you are too.
Additionally, we are unfortunate to have expenses we still need to
cover. We’ve been working on our 2020
camp since last July so we have already bought things to be ready. We have expenses like storage that we have to
cover all year and ones like the dock remodel that we’ve been working on so we
could have fishing again. If you are
able and willing we hope that you will make a donation to Valley Day Camp to
help us keep things on track for our expenses.
If you would like to make a donation from your camp refund please email
us by Friday, April 3rd to let us know and we will deduct it from
your refund. We appreciate your help on
this! We will mail refunds to all
campers, LIAs, PAITs, PAs, and adult volunteers by/on April 10th.
We’re all so sad to be missing camp this year and we know
you are too! Take care and stay

camp again with you in the future!
