Tips
to being a successful interviewer:
- Look over the questions ahead of time
- Don’t ask all the questions, this list is just for ideas. Highlight what’s most important to you, don’t worry about the rest. If you ask too many questions you and your interviewee might get really tired of interviewing.
- If you can see the person you are interviewing be sure to look at them while they are talking
- Don’t write down their answers, just listen and think about what they are saying

- Listen and ask for more information about things that interest you. If they said they had a dog you might ask about funny things their dog did or how they got their dog.

you think I accidentally put “listen” on the list too many times? It wasn’t an accident. If you want to be a good interviewer you
really need to do two things. Be prepared, and really listen to what the other
person is saying.
