Registration for our Virtual Camp ends Tomorrow
Monday, June 8th!
We’re all
disappointed that we can’t participate in our usual amazing week of camp this
year. It’s been a really weird year and
we all need something fun to look forward to.
We hope to share a bit of summer fun with you. Our virtual camp theme “Let’s Do This!” will
be held June 22-26. There is no cost to
participate but you will need to register so we can organize the groups and
prepare the supplies.
At Valley
Day Camp we focus each day on our motto, Discover-Enjoy-Belong. In planning our virtual camp we are still
focused on all three of those elements as well as Go Outside and Make the World
a Better Place.
· Each day we’ll post a minimum of five
activities/challenges for the day that will cover our five key elements.
- · All activities are completely optional, do what works for your daughter and your family.
- · Most of the activities can be done anytime during the day.
- · A few activities will have specific time frames, but all are optional.
- · Most can be done with everyday items you’re likely to find around your home or neighborhood.
- · A few activities will require “special supplies” (such as boondoggle lace). We’ll provide these supplies in kits that will need to be picked up before camp.
- · Most of our activities will be “off screen”. We will have things that involve some screen time but most activities won’t.
- · We will use a mixture of email, our blog, a cloud drive, and zoom to interact with you and your campers.
- · More details will be emailed to registered families on June 15th.
- · There is no cost for our virtual camp.
If you have
already registered then you are ready to go.
You should receive an email on June 15th with virtual camp
details, such as where/when to pick up your supplies and items you may need
during camp (s’mores ingredients, etc.).
