Working With the Weather

It looks like we might be in for some warm weather at camp.  Most of us have had a long winter and cool spring spent mostly indoors.  Next week could be a crazy transition our campers, teens, and adults when suddenly we are outside ALL day and the weather is warmer than it has been in awhile.

We will do our best to keep everyone hydrated and cool.  We will need help from all of you on this because we do not have any running water (or electricity) at camp.

Every camper should bring two FULL water bottles for drinking each day.  If you half fill the bottle then freeze it will stay colder longer.  We purchase and pack in drinking water each day so we are able to refill them.

We would also like to have each camper bring a disposable gallon water jug filled with water to fill our water play station.  Each day we will send empty jugs back home with campers to refill and bring back for water play the next day.  Please note, you will not get your same water jug back so please be sure it is both disposable and refillable.  This water is for water play (not for drinking) so filling it from your hose is fine with us.
