For
our virtual camp this year we are planning more robust and interactive virtual
camp with more opportunities for PA involvement.
Each
day will have a full and well-rounded plan of fun activities for everyone to do
at home (or within their covid-bubble, wherever that might be) as well as daily
Zoom meetings where we will have a little all camp time and then split up into
our virtual units for unit activities.
2021 PA Program at Valley Day Camp
What will the PA Program be like for camp this year?
All 8th-12th graders (based on grade in the fall 2021) will be included in the virtual PA group. There will be no separate PA Training program offered for 2021. It will resume in person at camp in 2022 for anyone who has not taken the training previously.
All virtual PAs will be assigned to a virtual unit of campers. Units will meet daily on Zoom.
PA Opportunities for all PAs:
- Opportunities to lead; in your unit you’ll have opportunities to lead activities or be a support person for the activities. Examples; leading a craft project, leading games, telling a story, singing songs, etc. All of the activities will be pre-planned before camp.
- Get to know your campers and have some bonding time with them. Participating in most of the camper activities (supply kits provided). This is a great time to get to be a camper again!
- Learn new skills such as tips & tricks for leading on Zoom
- Time to bond with other PAs
- And more!

PA – Expectations
- June 21st -25th Zoom from 9:00am-10:30am each day (unit time).
- June 21st-25th One hour each evening (time is TBD) PA meeting on Zoom
- Before camp (May and June) attend pre-camp planning meetings via Zoom to prepare for camp
- Camera on for all Zoom meetings
- Wear your camp shirt for unit time
- Participate in some of the all camp daily activities each day
- The cost for PAs is $40 and will include your camp shirt, patch, and supplies for the projects.

camp email, please be aware that our email is ValleyDAYcamp at GMAIL. We do not
have any other camp email addresses at this time. There is someone who has a “ValleyCamp” email
address (without the word DAY) that occasionally emails a few of us trying to
get us to click on their link. Don’t be fooled. Our emails will always come from Valley DAY
Camp.
